Is there any good product that I can buy at the drugstore that works. I don't want to be bound to Pro- Active, buying by mail and all.
Ok, I have a mild case of adult acne that really bothers me and my skin looks blotchy because of sun?
try acne free, im a teenager, but it really clears up my skin
Reply:Try drinking 1 cup a day of aloe vera juice for at least 2 weeks to see results. It has a bitter taste, but it has done wonders for my skin b/c I use to break out real bad but when I started drinking that my skin started clearing up and people would ask me if I had makeup on b/c my skin looked flawless. I hope this helps!
Reply:Lavender chamomille cucumber and aloe all aid in redness reduction use any of these with a cotton ball and apply to face 2 times a day

What is the best way to treat adult acne with intermittent flare-ups?
acne is really a bacterial infection gone out of control. This is an indication of out of balance skin. Think if you need to improve your hygiene. Once that's ruled out, you want to pay attention to your water-drinking, diet, and exercise.
And as above mentioned, birthcontrol pills also can overcome hormonal imbalance.
What is the best way to treat adult acne with intermittent flare-ups?
i would check with your dr in case you need a dose of antibiotics. make sure you dont try to pick them as that will lead to further infections.
buy anti acne soaps and scrub your face well.
Reply:Birth control pills or Proactive.
Reply:use apricot scrub everyday
Reply:tea tree oil at health food stores walmart or pharmacys
Reply:This costs just pennies and is easy to use. Mix 2 tbls. of apple cider vinegar and water in an 8 oz. glass. Will get rid of the acne forever. You must take it daily though. Read about acv on the web. Makes hair and nails grow super long super fast.

What's the best way to handle adult acne?
I'm using Proactive it helps but I still get a few pimples. I want completley clear skin! I'm 32 so I can't use teenager products, they dry out my skin. Help! Thanks for any real answers!
What's the best way to handle adult acne?
THIS WORKS FAST %26amp; CHEAP!!!
I used Tetracyclin, Proactive, Retina A and had many expensive facials with less than good results.
This has worked for me and many many other happy people.
Go to pharm.,Drug store, or Walmart, buy "PURPOSE" bar of soap - Blue box - Made by Johnson %26amp; Johnson - wash your face with this
2-3x's per day. Also pick up a LOW strength Benzoyl-peroxide cream, apply the cream by dabbing
to the individual blemishes.... DONT rub it in works using a oxidation/reduction reaction..It will unclog
dry it out and bring it to a head...DONT over use this or put anywhere else on your face. It will cause drying and make you look worse.
Salicylates such as found in regular asprin among other products work very similar but also remove layers of skin...
other over the counter creams with this product will dry out pimples but maybe too hash and cause surrounding skin trauma..
I have seen many people recommending crushing asprin and making a paste which probably will dry out the blemish but again
pretty strong and probably will cause more tissue damage and bigger scars as an anti inflammatory
probably would take the reddness out... again pretty harsh for sensative skin.
Also, If need which probably will for moisture ASK FOR "NUTRADERM lotion" - the orginal not the new stuff, this works
great and wont clog pores or leave a residue on your skin...Any lotion that is completely oil free and hypoallergic should
work but again I recommend Nutraderm. I have heard from people online that "Purpose" also makes a lotion that is good, Nutragena, and Nivea
make good products also. I recommend Nutraderm from experience and my dematologist.
"Purpose Bar" %26amp; "Nutraderm" are oil free and hypoallergic they contain no perfumes and are great for both men and women.
I have also heard great reports of this soap helping improve skin tone. Some people recommend the "Purpose luqid soap" saying
that the bar did dry out their skin some. The rational behind using the bar is that there are no ingredients in it that will clog pores, and
according to dermatologists they recommend the Bar. These products are safe for all skin colors and tones. I highly discourage use
of Proactive and other harsh chemicals for people with some natural color in their face due to the bleaching and drying effect it has
shown in many many people.
Additonal TIPS: acne, pimples, etc are frequently cause by a bacteria or hormone issues that cause clogging of pores
DONT PICK POP POKE (your hands are the dirtiest part of your body) and will cause: infections, spreading of germs, more breakouts and scarring
DONT EVER listen to people online who tell you to scrub your sensative skin or use harsh chemicals
such as: Lemon juice, vinagar, alcohol, etc... DONT EVER use that APRICOT CRAP!!! DONT USE
PROACTIVE- this is expensive and harsh it may kill the bacteria cause also Benzoyl based wash but
will irritate skin and cause bleaching of face and neck.... Other similar treatments may work.. also
things such as Accutane but have SERIOUS side effects.... Eating healthy...Drinking plenty of water.. changing pillow cases freq.
etc ...avoiding dirty sports equp. such as helmets...can not hurt.......................................
THIS WORKS FAST AND CHEAP!!! I no longer get expensive facials, take oral antibiotics, or even NEED makeup... I am very happy - Have
very good skin... and have many many other happy friends... THANKS again to my WONDERFUL
DERMATOLOGIST... TRY THIS!! GOOD LUCK.... PS. "PURPOSE" costs about $3
PSSS- I had adult onset acne in my mid 20's no problems as a teen PPSSSSS I'll be 32 on Thursday and this is what I use...
Editon: as far as scars go.. it takes a lot longer to get rid of ... the purpose soap should even out the color.. and eventually fade with time... but again scars are hard.. treat the pimples before you even attempt to put anything on the scars... I have heard good results from "Maderma" and there are other things such as collagen treatments... I DEFINATELY WOULD BE COMPLETELY AGAINST MACRODERMABRASION FOR PEOPLE with sensative skin .... treat the blemishes give the soap a while .. see the improvements the scars will fade with time...;-P
Reply:Try Clinique products at Macy's They work real well for all types of skins
Reply:sometimes completely clear skin isnt possible... why dont you try changing your diet... that sometimes helps.
Reply:go to a skin doctor it only cost like 40 dollars for a good one and he or she will tell you trust me thats how my uncle go his acne go away
Reply:For the scars, confront a dermatologist. They will prescribe you some cream it works like magic! Ive had to use it cause the acne leaves behind scars. And on the acne use apricot scrub! I'm 34 and all this has worked.

I have samples if anyone anytime wants to try it.

What is a good remedy for mild adult acne?
exfoliating! A major factor in acne itself is buildup of dry skin cells, and the stuff that is in your pores can't get out because of it. Salicylic acid in a clarifying lotion (astringent), and moisturize! Skin that is kept moist heals faster!
also, detox your system from within. drink a lot of water every day!
What is a good remedy for mild adult acne?
I am 40, never had acne issues, but began to get some now and then when I was in my mid 30's, I am now 40, and wash my face every morning before showering and in the evening before bed with Noxema (in a blue jar) it has menthol so it feels so good on your face, and cleans the pores well. Really makes your face feel clean. For individual acne that pops out now and then I use benzoil peroxide, store brand works just as well as name brand. Both work well- also for any scars that may be left behind there is stuff called SCAR ZONE- and this lessens the appearance of any scars the acne may leave behind.
Reply:I have always had acne on my forehead and around my jaw just below the ears. I have tried everything with nothing working that great. I started going to a tanning bed for a month and I have no more acne and a great tan. It really works for me.

Where can i find something to combat adult acne/pimples?
You need to exfoliate about once a week with a good salt and oil scrub, preferably an all natural product like:
http://www.amazon.com/Herbal-Salt-Scrub-...
http://www.amazon.com/Herbal-Salt-Scrub-...
I also do a skin mask every other week to get rid of impurities and deep clean:
http://www.amazon.com/Frightening-Natura...
Switch to an all natural, vegetable based, gentle moisturizing soap containing oatmeal, clay or honey, like:
http://www.amazon.com/SOUTH-FRANCE-SOAP-...
http://www.amazon.com/LAVENDER-OATMEAL-E...
Wash with a soft washcloth (not a scrubbing sponge). Wear clean clothes each day and wash your bedding and towels regularly. You may try using an all natural laundry detergent too - I like Sun %26amp; Earth and Seventh Generation.
I have found that a lot of the over the counter acne products can actually increase acne over time, so be careful with these. Use a mild salicylic acid skin wash on problem areas once every other day - if after two weeks that doesn't help, then try alternating between that and a mild benzoyl peroxide skin wash (they affect different types of bacteria, so alternating tends to work better on serious cases than using just one of the two). Neutrogena makes some good products.
Don't overwash - once in the morning and once in the evening is fine. After you wash, you can use a skin toner or astringent (again natural is better) followed by a light moisturizer which is non-comedogenic (i.e. does not block pores) - again all natural and hypoallergenic is better - try and find one with spf15 for during the day. And it doesn't matter if your skin is dry, oily or in between - you need to use a moisturizer - just try a lightweight, non-oil based one. F/Y/I, I had bad acne at one time and using this regime together with a heavier, emollient-rich moisturizer which contained honey at night to help heal the acne scarring (worked great). My skin cleared up in about a year and eventually I stopped using the acne washes except for occasionally (like once every couple of months). Reviva and Avalon Organics have good products - some of Kiss My Face is good too.
If your acne is very bad, you can also get acne spot treatment and if you have deep blackheads, you can try the clear pore strips to see if they help - never did me any good but a lot of people swear by them. I think exfoliation and a clay mask works better.
Exercise, sauna, massage and drinking 8 glasses of water per day are also big helps, especially the water.
Hope this helps.

Don't know why they are called that, same acne as teenagers, blackheads, acne puss or no puss. Could be Rosacea. Needs different approach.
Reply:Acnexus. It is full of 100% natural botanical ingredients. Cleanses, tones and moisturizes all in ONE step!! You will notice an improvement overnight. And your skin will feel "different" (in a good way) immediately after you use it. You can only get it on ebay. It is imported from Europe. I did a search online for best rated acne products and Acnexus was #2. At $24.95, I chose it over the #1 $200.00 Brunhause, which is also imported. In Europe, they sell products that work, they are not into selling the latest gimmick that doesn't work for a rediculous profit! Try it, it has a 100% money back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose. I have actually had people complimenting my skin which I have been trying to combat acne on with proactiv for the last 10 years! Just go to ebay and type in a search for acnexus, and read the info. Good luck!
Reply:Trust me, I've tried every "On the counter" ingredients...and well they just made my acne worse. I'l 16 and I still have pimples. I hate it...I'm self conscious.
First, I started eating healthy....and keeping the oil of my face. I went and bought an organic cleanser.. you can buy one from Whole Foods or Trader Joes....get one especially for the skin type you have.. Your skin is probably oily.. I'm guesssing.
I do this every morning and night. I grow aloe vera plants..and I use the 100% aloe vera gel on my skin 2 times a day. Wash your face w. the organic cleanser and then squeeze the aloe gel on your pimples. You'll noticed a difference in a week or so. It's perfectly natural.. it itches a little...but you'll get use to it. Don't use the fake aloe vera gels..the ones that say "All natural aloe vera"....it's fake.
So, good luck and hope i helped

If your acne is very bad, you can also get acne spot treatment and if you have deep blackheads, you can try the clear pore strips to see if they help - never did me any good but a lot of people swear by them. I think exfoliation and a clay mask works better.
Exercise, sauna, massage and drinking 8 glasses of water per day are also big helps, especially the water.
Hope this helps.
Where can i find something to combat adult acne/pimples?
im guessing you mean to get rid of them...proactive works great
Reply:Ask your doctor if he can subscribe you to tetracycline about 100mg and Cleocin-T to put on after you wash your face, it worked for me.
Reply:ProActiv...my mother uses it and it has done great for her.
Reply:Try Proactive, I have and it´s great , the key to success is to follow the treatment as it says , never miss a day and you´ll see results.
Good luck
Reply:Okay everyday get a cotton swab and swab rubbing alcohol on pimples. it dries them and gets the oil away. try that it should wokr. google this method on google and it should give you mroe instrucitons. good luick!
Reply:I am reading that people are saying proactive, but it didnt work for me. It really burn my face. In reality my face was clear but after I started to use the product I have been suffering of very bad acne.
Reply:See a dermatologist. Time to get tough on them!
